The Founders
Verbum Ministries is the work of two people who kept circling the same conviction, that the church can speak more honestly about the things it usually leaves in silence.
We teach from the same Scripture and the same confessions, to different rooms. What you find here, whether a study, an episode, or a word on a hard morning, comes out of one house and one conviction.

I'm a husband, a dad of four, and a writer with a heart for what men carry quietly. Sexual sin and addiction, shame, anger. Most of us learned to manage those alone instead of bringing them into the light, and the silence usually does more damage than the struggle ever did.
What I do is discipleship rather than behavior management. I want men to see what God actually says about manhood, and to find that His design holds more freedom than anything we build to replace it. I'm pursuing my MDiv at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and I teach plainly, straight from Scripture, without flinching at the parts that are hard to say.

I'm a wife, a mom, and the author of Shards of Grace and And Peter, and I've spent a long time convinced the church could talk about the hard, tender things more honestly than it usually does. That conviction is what became Verbum Ministries.
I teach the way I wish someone had taught me: plainly, warmly, and straight from Scripture, without the shame and without the silence. My heart for this work is simple. I want people to walk away knowing God has spoken clearly, and about far more of life than they were led to believe.
